getAbstract International Book Award 2022 Business Impact

LUCERNE, Switzerland, September 23, 2022 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) — getAbstract is pleased to announce the finalists for the getAbstract International Book Award 2022 in the Business Impact Main Category. The four-member jury for the book award includes experts from getAbstract and the editors of the German business magazine brand eins. The award recognizes work that encourages critical thinking, promotes mutual understanding, and offers innovative approaches to leadership and business. Winners will be announced on October 20, 2022 at the Frankfurt Book Fair along with winners in the Teaching Impact and Readers’ Choice categories.

“Prestige books are not always available, useful books are not always well written. Books that are narrowly tied to a topic can get lost in detail, and encyclopedic books often lack focus. For the shortlist, we selected books that are the perfect combination of applicability, innovation and style,” explains jury member and getAbstract Senior Managing Editor Erika Rauzin.

One of the judges, Arnhild Waltz-Racilier, vice president of getAbstract and initiator of the award, adds: “The getAbstract International Book Awards allows us to highlight particularly outstanding books that transcend sales numbers or bestseller lists.”

The finalists for the international book award getAbstract 2022 in the Business Impact category are:

  • The business of building a better world on David Cooperrider and Audrey Celian Berrett-Kohler, 2021
  • iconic on Amanda Montell, Harper Wave, 2021
  • decent food on Michael Carolan, Redwood Press / Stanford University Press, 2021
  • electrify on Saul Griffith, Massachusetts Institute of Technology, 2021
  • Signals on Jeff Desjardins, Wiley, 2021

The awards ceremony will take place on October 20, 2022 at the Schirn Kunsthalle in Frankfurt am Main and will include a celebration of the 20th anniversary of the book award.
